Food for Your Bloodhound Puppy
When it comes to a young puppy, they will always need care and nurturing. Besides giving your young Bloodhound that love, attention, stroking and cuddling, you should also keep in mind that the growing puppy will need that proper food in order to successfully grow. When our bloodhound was small, we would start his morning meal out with a small portion of milk that was warmed by the microwave. Put the milk in the puppy’s water bowl and in the dry bowl, give him or her some small dog biscuits. Yes, the bloodhound will need two feeding bowls. One bowl will be for the liquids and the other bowl will be for the food. You should never over feed your bloodhound puppy. You will need to give the right portions for each meal.

The small bloodhound puppy will be finishing his or her meal quickly, it will amaze you. You will be tempted to give more bloodhound puppy food to your puppy, but you need to remember that the tummy is only so big. Eating everything you put in front of the animal is an instinct because they do not know when the next meal is going to be. Be sure to control that temptation of feeding more bloodhound puppy food to your puppy. After about three hours, you should feed the puppy more. This time, in the water bowl you should have plain water. In the dry food bowl, place you puppy food that you want the puppy to eat. Just be sure it is puppy food and doesn’t have wheat or corn in it as this is hard for your bloodhound puppy to digest and could cause problems.
